Roller banner stands really are the most portable, useful and cost effective display solutions available today. Our Wasp model has sold in the thousands, and we are delighted that it is one of the most cost effective available in the UK today. The unit is inexpensive yet well designed.
What Is A Roller Banner?
Firstly, it's worth pointing out that these banner stand units go by many names! Pullups, rollups, retractable banner stands - all these names point to the same thing. Imagine a roller blind in a slim metal box and you're almost there - this is the section that sits on the floor. The graphic panel is pulled up from the box to its full height (usually around 2m) and then a supporting sectional pole is put in place to keep the graphic in position. The box unit has two twist out feet to add additional stability. When you're done using it, the pole is removed and folded away, and the graphic panel slides back down into the box. Easy and safe.
The Graphic Panel
The graphic of your Wasp roller banner is printed onto tried and tested PVC banner material. It's thin yet very strong and tear resistant. This helps us to keep the price low whilst still giving you a great product. Budget roller banners often use the cheapest banner material available, but we use exactly the same banner material that we print 99% of our banners on. It's a smooth, matt, low shine material that takes print beautifully well.
Each Wasp roller banner comes with the following:
- Aluminium box unit with 2x twist out feet
- Printed graphic panel fixed in place
- Supporting sectional aluminium pole
- Carrying case
Erecting The Rollup Banner
Putting the stand up is really easy, even for one person to do. Just follow these instructions:
- Twist out the supporting feet and place the unit on the floor
- Slot the bottom of the sectional pole into the hole in the base and extend it to 2m.
- Pull out the graphic carefully and hook the top bar into the clip at the top of the pole.
It really is that easy! It helps to stand on the box unit foot when you're pulling the graphic out to make sure it doesn't lift off the floor. Also, make certain that the graphic is properly clipped into place at the top before you let go. Retractable banners are tough but they do need to be put up properly.
The Many Uses of a Retractable Banner Stand
Once you're aware of them, you'll start to see roll up banner stands everywhere! Roller banners can be seen at exhibition centres like the NEC and Earl's Court for sure, but also in shopping centres, hotels and spas, museums, cinemas - just about anywhere where a simple and compact exhibition solution is required. A roller display can often be just the job, especially if space is tight. It's because of the versatility of roller banners that we sell so many of them to customers all over the country.
