Rollup stands are quite simply the most portable, useful and cost effective display solutions around today. Our Sidewinder model has sold in the thousands, and we are happy that it is one of the very best available. It's a premium unit with a super smart design and finish.
What Is A Pullup Banner?
Firstly, it's worth pointing out that these banner stand units can be called many things! Pull ups, roll ups, retractable banner stands - all these names essentially describe the same thing. Imagine a roller kitchen blind in a slim aluminium box and you're halfway there - this is the section that goes on the floor. The graphic panel is pulled up from the unit to its full height (usually around 2metres) and then a supporting sectional pole is put in place to keep the graphic up. The base unit of the Sidewinder model is flat and wide for stability without the need for a swing out foot.. When you're done using it, the pole is removed and the graphic slides back down into the box.
The Graphic Panel
The graphic of your rollup banner is printed onto a special material that is purposely designed to be used in this situation It's thin yet very tough, and doesn't allow light to pass through from the reverse side - important for vivid colours. It's also designed to keep flat when in use and not bend at the edges like some cheaper products. It's scratch resistant as well, which means there's no need to laminate it.. This helps us to keep the price down whilst keeping quality very high.
Each Sidewinder pull-up banner comes with the following:
- Aluminium unit
- Printed graphic panel(s) fixed in place
- Supporting sectional pole
- Luxury carrying case
Erecting The Rollup Banner
Putting the stand up is really easy, even for one person to do. Just follow these instructions:
- Place the unit on the floor
- Screw the bottom of the sectional pole into the hole in the casing and put all the sections together.
- Pull out the graphic slowly and hook the top bar into the clip at the top of the pole.
It really is that simple! It helps to stand on the box unit foot when you're pulling the graphic out to make sure it doesn't lift off the floor. Also, make certain that the graphic is properly clipped into place at the top before you let go. Retractable banners are tough but they do need to be put up properly.
The Many Uses of a Retractable Banner Stand
Once you're aware of them, you'll start to see roll up banner stands all over the place! Roller banners can be seen at exhibition centres like the NEC and Earl's Court for sure, but also in shopping centres, hotel foyers, museums, cinemas - just about anywhere indoors where a simple and compact display solution is required. A roll up display can often be just the job, especially if space is tight. It's because of the flexibility that rollup banners offer that we sell so many of them to customers all over the UK.
