Aura produced 2 x roller banners for me in 24hrs. Fantastic quality and a lower price than other companies offer. I Would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.

An email I sent to Aura Print:

A pat on the back for you and your team - please pass this on to your team for me….

I wanted to send you a quick email to thank you and your team for doing a quick turn around for me on my order. I needed it urgently, and your friendly and helpfulness - plus of course your efficiency resulted in me being more than satisfied. I will definitely be using you again in the future.

    Thanks very much.

I ordered 2 banners from Aura Print for my dj business. One for on the front of my booth and the other for outdoor public events to put on railings etc. Their website allows you to enter custom sizes of the banner to suit your needs. My booth is 4ft wide so I entered 4ft by 1ft in the appropriate boxes and it gave me the size I wanted at a low price. They sent my banners out by next day delivery and they came super quick. The quality was exceptional and I will be ordering with them again infact i'm designing a new banner now! They also have a thick hem on the banners which is extremely important as they increase the strength of the banner and prolong the life of the banner when used outdoors.

What information should I put on my business cards?

This entry was posted in by Emma Smith.

Firstly, be prepared

Having your business cards ready to hand, whether at business or social events, means you have seized the opportunity to hopefully make a new contact or potentially a sale. It looks good if you’re prepared and organised with your cards at the ready. Also, make sure your cards are kept pristine. There is nothing worse than a tatty bent card pulled from the bottom of your bag! Luckily, if you choose to get your business cards though us, we supply you with a clear plastic box to keep your cards in. First impressions are everything!

Handing out a business card gives the personal touch and human factor that digital technology can never replace.  So, with that in mind, what do you need to put on your cards to increase your chances of your prospective customer contacting you in the future?

Business People Networking

Your logo or brand

What is your business’s identity? Adding your logo or branding can help anyone holding your card instantly recognize it wherever they come across it in the future; on your website, in your shop, or even amongst others. You may choose to just have your logo on one side of your business card, just make sure to strike a nice balance. Remember, making your logo or brand identifiable is a very strong statement so use it to your advantage.

Your name and job title

Make sure you use the name you want to be known by, as people will be using it when they contact you. You may have several job titles. The one you use should clearly explain what you do. If you are a director, but it’s not obvious what your company does, it might not mean much to recipients. Say you have a cake baking company for example, cake maker is a much more helpful title. If you do wish to keep your credentials, you can always add them after your functional title. For example, Joe Blythe, Writer, Director.

Business Cards Contact Information

Be direct!

The vital touch point of your card. The key point here is to be direct. If you have personally met someone, the last thing they want is a generic email or phone number to contact you on. Make sure it’s your direct professional contact details. You want to keep that relationship continuous to make things easy and comfortable for the other person. Some people will like to call you, others prefer to email, depending on their personal preference and what they want to ask you. Remember though to avoid giving away your personal information. Your personal Facebook page is exactly that, not for professional networking.

Include address details?

You may decide to include your physical address if you have an actual shop that people can visit or collect from. If you only work on the internet, address is irrelevant and just adds unnecessary clutter to your card.

Your website details

If you have a website, add the URL on your card. You could consider directing recipients to a personalised landing page with a welcoming message where people can get to know you, possibly even with a welcome offer. This is a much more personal way of inviting people into your business.

Make sure that your URL is short and easy to type. A huge URL is very off putting. You can even make this more tempting by adding an interesting name. So, rather than “domainname.com/landingpage” you could try “domainname.com/amazing-offers”

Social Media profiles

It’s a fact that social media channels have become indispensable parts of business today. However, that doesn’t mean you have to include all social media channels on there. List only the ones you actually use for work and where potential clients can get a good idea of what you are about. This is also a great opportunity to think about what channels work best for you. If your business is highly image based, instagram may be a great way to showcase your creations. If you regularly hold events, facebook can be a great place to spread the word. Twitter can be a good way of catching customers and sending them to your website via blogs etc.

What does your business do? For some businesses, this may be obvious. However, if your role is not universally recognised, you might want to add a few words about how you can help people with what you do. If you’re a recruiter for example you could add a blurb saying something along the lines of “I’ll help you find your dream job”.

Make sure your spelling and grammar are up to scratch, people will expect this. Its all about professionalism and earning trust. There’s nothing that can leave a bad impression more than this. Check, check again, then check again.

Save some white Space!

A business card overstuffed with information just isn’t inviting. White space is usually connected with sophistication, whilst busy designs look cheap. That’s why traditional business cards focus on basic text. It demonstrates an ability to condense and work efficiently. The human eye likes white space and is drawn to it. It increases readability and prevents overwhelming your prospective client.
