    I ordered 2 banners from Aura Print for my dj business. One for on the front of my booth and the other for outdoor public events to put on railings etc. Their website allows you to enter custom sizes of the banner to suit your needs. My booth is 4ft wide so I entered 4ft by 1ft in the appropriate boxes and it gave me the size I wanted at a low price. They sent my banners out by next day delivery and they came super quick. The quality was exceptional and I will be ordering with them again infact i'm designing a new banner now! They also have a thick hem on the banners which is extremely important as they increase the strength of the banner and prolong the life of the banner when used outdoors.

Starting a new business venture – what business stationary and extras do I need?

Firstly, congratulations on your new business venture! We’ve put together some great business stationary ideas to help you establish yourself amongst your target customers. A recognisable, pleasing identity will give your customers a firm idea of who you are and your company values. So, firstly consider the few pointers below.

Consider the overall design of your business stationary; whether it be contemporary, classic or vintage. This will form a key part of your business holistically. Thinking about what identity you want to portray is the first step to producing your personal business stationary. Central to this theme is your logo. It might help to think of the demographic you want to target, but remember, a good identity is timeless, not just what’s in now.

Get in the Flow

Any established company will use consistency in their business stationary. For example, your logo should always remain the same colour, size and scale proportion. This creates an instant familiarity; whether used on a business card, banner or leaflet. Keeping things consistent is key to reinforcing your identity. You’d feel a little off if you were browsing a website and the design changed on a page per page basis, right? The same goes for your business stationary.

Business cards are big news and a key player in your business stationary toolkit. They're tried, tested and can be handed out anywhere, anytime. If you want to wow and ensure your card is kept and used, there are many impressive printing techniques you can use.

Coloured core  and coloured back cards add a stunning dash of colour. Thick, high quality and hard wearing, these cards are a popular choice. They’re also great at reinforcing your brand as they hint at your company colours.

Metallic foil cards are visually stunning and contemporary. They scream luxury and we see all different types of businesses go for these from law firms to beauty salons.

The shape of your card is fairly limitless too. Think square or slim. Even square or rounded corners is a choice you should think about.

Despite the huge increase in online purchasing, many people still like to look at a hard copy of a brochure. A brochure should explain clearly what you are selling, for how much, where and when. You can display brochures, hand them out, or even post them. They have a great benefit of giving you plenty of room to demonstrate your products visually with plenty of information as relevant.
